Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

As a Christian man I firmly believe in Pro-life. There are, however, two exceptions that while I'm not fond of, I can understand why. 1) When the life of the mother is seriously threatened, and 2) The pregnancy is the result of a violent sexual assault upon the women/child. If underage, the decision should be with the parents, the mother to be, and the doctor as they will all be a part of the process. Those are the exceptions and not the rule. There are programs that can assist in adoptions for those situations and all options should be thoroughly reviewed before making a decision.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

The first and foremost thing the government needs to do is to stop raiding the surplus generated from social security collected to pay its bills. The second thing is to take Congress off of their special retirement plan and put them on the same one as every other citizen has to partake in. Why do they have a completely separate retirement system? The third thing would be to develop/create what are known as Sovereign Wealth Funds. Essentially these funds allow the government to invest the funds into markets to create wealth for the people. In 2014, China had two such funds, each valued at over $3T. I wonder what the value is now? The forth thing is to stop spending 100s and 100s of millions of dollars on illegal immigration (food, medical, education) but we can't fix medical or funding benefits for our seniors. That's nuts.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

The care and feeding of illegal immigration and reduction of foreign aid. We spend 100s of millions on these programs but have many citizens or even veterans that are either homeless or can't afford a home

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

I never had any help in paying off my student loans, so its difficult for me to answer. I made the decision to make that loan, so I am responsible for it. I could have chosen other options, but I made the decision to go to school, so i have to pay for it. It was worth it and still is. I believe the school choice concept, is an incredible option that should be looked into on a deeper scale. I believe legislation should be passed to fix interest rates at very low rates to help our children.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

The state should not impose upon me how, when and where I practice my faith.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I would be a strong proponent for the creation of businesses and subsequently jobs that provide healthcare to their employees. I believe that a strong, business-friendly environment is a key. I also believe every person has the right to choose their own healthcare program or additional coverage should they choose to. The government's responsibility is to provide the access to a healthcare system. It is the individual's responsibility to choose how and what kind of plan they want to have or not have. Again, it's their freedom of choice.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

The First Amendment of the Constitution allows every American citizen the right to Freedom of the press, Freedom of Religion, and Freedom to peaceably gather. As a member of the USAF and later as a civil servant, radical Islamic terrorists do not qualify under Freedom of religion. Key word is terrorist. Its an important part of the National Security Strategy to be vigilant for such terrorists. It is important to shore up our borders to prevent interventions of terrorists (ie.9/11)as well as upgrade biometric technologies that assist in identifying known terrorist. If nothing else, the last 20 years of war, have provided a huge data base of information on potential terrorist. Those need to be maintained so that we can stay vigilant and aware of those known suspects.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

The current US Immigration policies like catch and release are seriously flawed. I believe that ILLEGAL immigrants should be returned to their home country. They got here illegally. The key word is ILLEGAL. It’s not undocumented or whatever the feel good buzzword of the day is. If they wish to legally immigrate into this country, then do so legally, just as the many millions of people have done throughout the history of our great country. If we are going to revise the immigration laws, then we have to make sure they are in the best interests of our people and our country. Those persons who have gone through the immigration processes, legally. Illegal immigration is just that illegal. Do things the right way. We need to revise those policies to be more efficient, but do it legally. Also if there are refugee scenarios, but provide a finite number of refugees or asylum seekers where a proven crisis has emerged

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I have been born again since 2001. I affirm and believe that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. There are no others before Him. I will not bow my knee to any other than Him. I have two favorite quotes. 1) Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future." and 2) Matthew 22:37-39 "You shall love the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. and you shall love your neighbor as yourself." With those in mind, I pray everyday for His guidance and wisdom, and do my best to walk in forgiveness, just as my Lord forgives me, so must I forgive others.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

For 25 years of my life, I have been behind and work in classified areas and thus not a lot of personal information is publicly available. Please check with my pastor or references to verify.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

We need to have legislators in place that work with the President, not against. The current group of Hawaii legislators have done nothing to support this current President. And he has done a tremendous amount of things to make the US a greater nation – Prior to COVID, we had the lowest unemployment in history for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Asian Americans; we had the highest number of women back in the workforce; over 7 million people off of welfare; revised the tax laws; signed USMCA trade agreement; signed phase 1 of US-CHINA trade agreement; and upgraded a depleted military, All of this without the support of Hawaii’s legislative party or Congress. Can you imagine what it would have been if either one had been willing to work with him?

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

Strongly Agree

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The most important thing to remember about guns and gun control laws is that guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Should there be background checks. Sure. Why would we want to give a gun to someone that has a mental issue or anger issue or other such circumstances? The NRA has a great program that takes people through instruction and learning about proper gun usage. We should add onto such programs.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Disagree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1) Have mandatory term limits for Senate and House - Senate 2 terms, House 4 terms. Why does the executive branch have limits, but the legislative branch doesn't? 2) Work on legislation that revises the illegal immigration laws and removes the catch and release programs. 3) In 1920, federal legislation created the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act. Part of the act required a blood quantum requirement of 50% in order to qualify for the land. The Native American Indians have no such requirement, why do we? The Alaskan Inuit Indians have no such requirement, why do we? The Common wealth of Northern Marianas have no such requirement, why do we? I would write legislation and remove that requirement and base it on proven genealogy and birth records.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a threat to domestic security, but is really a matter of education, ideology and beliefs. Its also a choice between living a God loving purpose filled life or a victim mindset. People have to learn who they are. They have to remember that if they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, then they are the sons and daughters of a King and therefore through Christ are themselves princes or princesses, not slaves and slaves to their skin color
