Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

It is important to understand that this is not the role of the federal government to decide, based on the limited number of powers enumerated to the federal government by the Constitution. Therefore, these decisions are reserved for the states and the people. With that said, I believe life begins at a heartbeat and that we should strive to protect the lives, liberty, and property of all humans, including the unborn.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

What good are guaranteed social security benefits if the money you receive isn't worth anything? In order to guarantee social security benefits for future generations, we need to start by minimizing the size of future liabilities. We should immediately offer a social security opt-out option and allow people to decide for themselves what they do with their own money.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

All federal government spending. I'm an equal opportunity budget and cost cutter when it comes to unconstitutional federal programs and deficit spending that contributes to a greater debt burden for future generations.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

Under no circumstances should taxpayers fund the payment of student loans. The reason university is so unaffordable is due to government interference through subsidies and incentives. Government lends money and guarantees loans so kids can borrow more and "afford" higher prices. Because kids can afford higher prices, colleges can again increases their prices. When colleges increase their prices the government then lends more so kids can afford it, then colleges raise their prices again. Repea

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

It means that we need a much smaller "state." We need more than just separation of church and state, we need separation of special interests and state. If we shrink the size of the federal government it doesn't matter what influences exist because the role of the federal government in our lives would be so limited.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Strongly Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

By eventually removing the federal government entirely from the picture. Government has been intervening in the healthcare markets for over 50 years and spent trillions of dollars, and what do they have to show for it? Medicare, Medicaid, and the general overregulation of healthcare and insurance have all contributed to the unaffordability of healthcare, so I don't want to reward government these failures in healthcare with more money and power for government. It's time we unleash the power of the free market in order to reduce costs and create an abundance of care.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We should bring our troops home now. These are unconstitutional and unwinnable wars. It is well documented that the U.S. government has contributed to terrorism overseas by arming and backing terrorist groups with these endless regime change wars, and that decades of interventionism overseas has potentially made us less safe here at home. End sanctions that most harm civilians and bring the troops home now, because if not now, then when?

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Disagree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

All people who want to earn a living without government assistance in order to have a better life for them and their family. We have a shortage of workers in America, especially in low-paying labor intensive positions. We also have a rather free and prosperous culture in the United States that is attractive to foreigners, so is it any surprise people want to come here? I believe that we should remove taxpayer-funded subsidies and incentives for people to come here, yet have a strong border with open doors. We should welcome more people into the country.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that we should treat others how we want to be treated, that we should not use force to achieve our social or political goals, and that "the secret to living is giving." I am baptized and confirmed, and I was taught by my parents to mind my Ps and Qs.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Somewhat Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

Libertarians are neither "Conservative" nor "Liberal," however we are better conservatives than the "conservatives" and better liberals than the "liberals." For anyone who truly believes in the Constitution and the idea that we have the right to our life, our liberty, and our property, rather than just some silly Red vs. Blue or Right vs. Left narrative, you might be a libertarian.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No, but did you know that the average American will commit several felonies over their lifetime without actually knowing it? Some studies indicate we may even commit 1-3 felonies per day without knowing it depending on our profession. This overcriminalization is a result of the government being way too big.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am the only candidate who will uphold their oath of office, I am the only candidate under the age of 55, I am the only candidate opposed to any new taxes, and while the other four candidates are competing for who can best run your life, I am the only candidate willing to admit that I don’t know how to run your life, I don’t want to run your life, and the Constitution doesn’t permit me to run your life. It's time we escape the bipartisan status quo and the failures of the two-party system that puts special interests before the Constitution, that steals 20-50% of the money we earn, that has created the most imprisoned population in the world, that spies on its own citizens, that engages in endless wars, that has inflated away the value of our money, and that has wastefully accumulated a $26 trillion national debt. Stop wasting your vote on more big government cronies and vote your conscience in November. Vote Libertarian.

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

No restrictions because Congress doesn't have the authority to do so. Even without the second amendment we still have the tenth amendment that reads: The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. Especially for women, the elderly, and the disabled, firearms provide equality in their ability to defend their lives.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Strongly Agree

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

Bringing the troops home Auditing the Federal Reserve Ending domestic spying programs like the PATRIOT Act and FISA We also need to end the federal war on drugs and all taxpayer-funded foreign aid.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. We are not a racist country. Isn't it interesting that in the private sector, racism is bad for business, yet in the public sector (the government sector) it's subsidized and protected? All of the "systemic racism" that is often discussed happens to be rooted in big government - segregation and Jim Crow laws, qualified immunity, the war on drugs and minimum sentencing, stop and frisk, occupational licensing laws, minimum wage laws, the perpetual welfare system, gun permit laws, etc.
