Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should never be allowed as life is intrinsically valuable.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

The state constitution should limit the growth of spending to the rate of population growth plus the rate of inflation.

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Economic development and pro business economics will bring more jobs and better jobs to the area. These policies will provide opportunities for not only employment, but also for those looking to better their life for not only themselves, but their family and the community around them.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Governments role in boosting the economy is to continue to improve on a business friendly economy. This includes reducing taxes, limiting regulations and providing support for corporations moving to Wisconsin. The economic impacts of supporting development is much larger and broader than just helping companies to relocate or grow and thrive within Wisconsin. Each of these businesses employ people who in turn circulate money back into the economy thus growing the economy multitudes more than the view of only helping WI companies.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

This issue is a very complex one that in no way can fit within the 1,000 word limit of this answer. However the basics for making healthcare affordable and thus accessible is a free and open marketplace. Healthcare in this regard works like every other service in a capitalist economy, in that the more competition there is, the more competitive the costs will be. There is currently not nearly enough competition of insurance providers when most areas have the choice between two or three companies. Healthcare also circles back to economic development and growth in the region. The more jobs and better jobs will also come along with better benefits and better pay so that healthcare is more accessible.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

I support sanctuary cities.

Strongly Disagree

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

George Washington's comment that “Religion and morality are the essential pillars of civil society” is still true today.

Any teaching to children on sex education in public schools must include all contraceptive methods, and should not show preference to abstinence.

People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."

Parents should be the primary authority in decisions affecting their minor children.

Strongly Agree

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Our country's founders knew that democracies had been created and failed throughout history, so they needed to create something new. They knew that no one person, or group of people could hold too much power and that is why they specifically limited governmental powers. However they also knew that the individual person needed guaranteed protections against the government slowly striping more and more power away. Our founding fathers were truly revolutionary in their thinking.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was raised and confirmed in the Lutheran church. My beliefs of God are strong. God makes all things possible with the understanding that free will is provided to each of us, which is also how this country is based. My beliefs and positions are centered around my core values of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Life is intrinsically valuable and should be treated as such. The liberty that this country provides each individual can not be allowed to be diminished in any way. The pursuit of happiness includes a persons individual and business rights reasonably do what they wish to better themselves and their families with minimal involvement of government.

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question. and

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I believe that my education and life experiences make me the person I am. I was raised in Hudson, WI, went to Arizona State University, and have now lived in St. Croix County for 35 of my 40 years. For the last 6 years I’ve lived in New Richmond with my wife Jenny and two sons Aiden and Kellan. I have seen St. Croix County grow and more recently I have been involved in that. I own a commercial construction company, and have been involved in the chamber of commerce and a member of the EDC and the NRA. I know that my business, life experiences, and knowledge of a community I’ve lived in most of my life will help me in Madison to build a stronger economy, all while reducing taxes and the size of government.

"I believe that we can and must continue to keep Wisconsin business friendly, work hard to help people struggling with mental illness, and clean up our election laws to ensure fair elections to our citizens for years to come."
