Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.
I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Rape, incest, or if the life of the Mother is in danger
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?
Any changes to Social Security benefits cannot negatively impact those of us whom have already paid into it.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Regardless of the party in power, the $21 trillion national debt that is eclipsing our economy is not seen as a priority problem to be rectified. The reason for this is because of how the Washington establishment operates. I will combat the return of earmarks, which were used in the past for back-room deal making that facilitated cronyism. We need the determination to pass an equitable budget and reject increasing the debt ceiling without meaningful spending mitigation.
Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?
Instead of socializing educational advancement in our country, government needs to prioritize cutting the cost of higher education and materials like textbooks.
Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
When I was sworn in to serve as an Assistant District Attorney, I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution and I meant it. I take a textualist approach to the Constitution and believe that the Constitution means exactly what it states. Constitutional Rights we take for granted are under attack from the radical left. Separation of church and state means that the government has NO BUSINESS in regulating the beliefs and practices of churches and religiously-minded groups, small businesses, and other entities.
It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.
I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.
How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?
Healthcare freedom is allowing you to choose and purchase insurance that best suits your specific health needs. The freedom to choose your own health insurance is something that has not existed since long before Obamacare and that is a real problem which continues to hurt many Americans today. It is an absolute necessity to abolish the regulations that are causing costs to skyrocket. Additionally, incentivizing, instead of penalizing, young Americans to obtain healthcare coverage will help offset growing healthcare costs. I will fight for complete individual autonomy when it comes to Healthcare access.
The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?
We need to continue enacting the Trump strategy that led to the eradication of ISIS. Like most Americans and especially New Yorkers, I vividly remember when our city came under attack from radical Islamic terrorists, I recall being worried if I would ever see my father again who was one of the first responders that day. Many others were not as lucky. We must do everything we can to ensure this never happens again. Our military must continue to be the most effective fighting force in the entire world.
I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.
State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.
Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
My great grandparents and one of my grandparents immigrated here from Italy, and I am grateful that they decided to pursue the American Dream. I support legal immigration, but not illegal immigration. We need meaningful border security, especially because there is a humanitarian crisis at the Southern Border. While it may seem far away from New York City, we are seeing the consequences of out of control illegal immigration. Routinely illegal immigrants are given special treatment over American citizens in our education, healthcare, and criminal justice systems. Illegal immigrants work outside the law often for less than minimum wage, pricing law-abiding Americans out of work. Even if we deport criminals, because of our porous border, criminals easily return to the United States to re-offend. Enough is enough. This must be fixed immediately. We need to enforce the law, secure our borders, and restore our sovereignty.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a livelong Catholic.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?
Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?
I need all the help I can get! My primary opponent is a Republican-In-Name-Only, anti-life, voted for taxpayer-funded abortion, opposes President Trump, and missed 77% of budget hearings in the State House. NY-11 is going to be the battleground district that can make or break the Republican Party's chance at a majority in the House next year. Because of this, we need Representatives that are not afraid to stick up for true conservative values.
Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Our Founding Fathers adopted the 2nd Amendment for our own protection. Gun violence is a great tragedy and should be addressed but Career politicians have passed measures like the NY SAFE Act which do nothing to prevent gun violence and simply punish law-abiding citizens. This kind of gun control will make it more difficult for a father to defend his home from a burglar, make it more difficult for a young woman to defend herself from her would-be assailant.
I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.
I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
The Electoral College should be abolished.
In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?
1) Public safety/Law & Order 2) Stopping the Opioid Epidemic 3) Finding Solutions for Autism
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Jesus commanded us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves (Matthew 23:37-39). Extreme hatred in all forms threatens our domestic livelihood. The role government has to play in eradicating hatred is to get out of the way so its citizens can have opportunities to prosper and flourish. This property can then be shared among communities, neighbors, and friends.
