Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should be allowed to save the life of the mother, or in the cases of rape or incest.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

I would reassess the current structure and determine when benefits should be available to recipients. The system should be based upon years and contributions into the system. Currently, the payouts to those who have contributed little or nothing into the system should be based upon their contributions. It is unfair to penalize those who have worked for decades and reduce their benefits unfairly.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would reduce unnecessary military spending on wasteful systems and things that the military did not ask for. I would reduce foreign aid to countries that are not allies to America. I would reduce funding several unnecessary federal agencies, such as the department of education, department of housing and urban development, and the TSA. That last one is a huge wasteful agency that should be privatized. I am a proponent of states rights, we should have a smaller, lean federal government.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

If the individual agrees to a critical public service function after graduation, I could see a payoff of the student loans.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

In the First Amendment, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. The government may not establish a national religion, or make laws impeding the free exercise of religion by its citizens. The recent COVID restrictions were an infringement on the first amendment, they closed down churches, synagogues and mosques, yet allowed liquor stores and abortion clinics to remain open.

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

The first thing I would do is try to repeal the law that prevents Medicare from negotiating drug prices with the pharmaceutical companies. It is absurd to think that the biggest consumer of prescription medication in this country is prohibited by law from negotiating prices. Walmart sells over 70% of the dog food in this country and negotiates prices with Purina and other companies to keep prices low. This is just a single example of how we can control drug costs and utilize simple market principles with our Congress from acting on behalf of special interests, mainly big pharmaceutical interest. We should foster competition amomg healthcare insurance companies, allow them to compete in other states, competition brings down prices, again free market principles will naturally bring down prices when competition for business is present.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We should stop over utilizing our military forces. We should respond to attacks rapidly and decisively. We should avoid long term military entanglements that do nothing but weaken our forces and enrich the few people that profit from these military exploits. I have served quite a few years overseas in these combat zones only to see all our gains paid for in blood forfeited in the name of political expediency, that is unacceptable to me as a veteran and an American.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

We are a nation of immigrants. Immigration is what makes our country a beacon to the world. We need to establish a smart system where we determine who emigrates here. People should be allowed to come here who want a better life and wish to assimilate into our country. There is nothing wrong with quotas for certain professions and skills that our country may need. We need people who wish to come to this country and not become a burden on the American taxpayer. We should not import foreign workers simply in the interest of big tech to artificially keep wages low, and eliminate Americans from taking those jobs. That particular practice should end.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Roman Catholic, I was raised Catholic and went to parochial schools for elementary school and high school. I believe in God, I believe we have a responsibility to our fellow human beings whoever they are or whatever their beliefs may be. I believe we should treat others with respect. These are hard beliefs to live by, I try everyday to be an example that others would want to emulate. I may fall short at times, but I will never stop trying.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

As a selectman for my town, I advanced fiscal responsibility and at times, some issues that we uncovered became very contentious. I never resorted to personal attacks although I was maligned by others. I believe in the end, the truth always wins out.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I am just a regular guy who won the geographic lottery by being born in the greatest country that ever existed. I am grateful, I served my country proudly and with distinction during four combat tours overseas, serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan. I had my battalion command in Afghanistan and I had the privilege to serve with some of the bravest men and women who ever lived. My public service will be to honor their sacrifices. I will never let any politician squander American lives. I feel I still have much to give to our country. I fought for our country overseas and I will continue to fight for it here if you give me the opportunity to continue to serve. I humbly ask you for that honor.

Criminal Justice

Mandatory minimum sentencing should be required and enforced for violent crimes.

2nd Amendment

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

I believe the background checks that exist now are sufficient, I do not think further restrictions are warranted. I think mental health care is a big factor in gun violence.

Other Important Issues

I support BDS (boycott, divestment, and sanction) against Israel if they refuse to allow the creation of a Palestinian state.

Strongly Disagree

I support the legalization of recreational marijuana.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In priority order, what three areas of legislation do you propose to author or sponsor if elected?

1) Term Limits for Congress and Senate 2) Elimination of pensions for elected officials 3) Remove money from political campaigns, go with a publicly financed system to eliminate undue influence from special interests.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism is a threat to us all, but I believe today it is a false narrative being pushed on our nation by those who wish to sow seeds of unrest . I think the real issues facing the country are economic, not racial. Certain groups want to push the racism narrative to deflect away from the economic issues that are really the problem today. I reject the belief that America is a racist country and that systemic racism exists. What does that term even mean? A racist country does not elect a black man president once, let alone twice.
