Questionnaire

Please note: Responses are entered electronically by the candidate and are listed verbatim.

Right to Life

Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds or grants from federal, state, or local governments.

Strongly Agree

I support the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires health care providers to provide life-saving treatment for infants who survive an attempted abortion.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Health of the mother

Economy

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has a livable income.

Strongly Disagree

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

As a senior citizen myself, this will be a priority issue. We need to legislate protection for our current and future generations.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

We need to get control of Medicare fraud and public asistance fraud. We have the ability to do more.

Under what circumstances should taxpayers help pay off existing student loans?

None! I worked my way through college and attended a local University. When I graduated, I was quickly promoted at the company where I had been working while attending school. I have had a very successful career.

Religious Liberty

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

I promise to protect the freedom of Christians to share the Gospel and to practice Biblical principles.

Yes

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Religious freedom must be allowed without fear or intimidation. There is too much of a turn towards shaming Christians practicing their religious beliefs and that must not be allowed.

Healthcare

It is the government’s responsibility to ensure everyone has health insurance.

Disagree

I support the elimination of private healthcare insurance.

Strongly Disagree

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I feel offering tax credits to employers who cover pre-existing conditions could greatly expand private coverage so that peopple needing public assistance would be a smaller number.

National Security

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We need to expand surveillance efforts and quit being concerned about "political correctness" We recently had a radical candidate attempt to manipulate our local elections in order to win. I uncovered the attempt to move a voting location to her mosque in order to give her an advatage. I was able to stop the effort and she lost by a small margin. Keith Ellision, DNC organizer from Minnesota and Ilhan Omar ally, came to our community to campaign for her in this small City Council race. I was the only Republican with the guts to stand up and face personal threats for exposing their plan. We cannot be shamed into submission. The incident resulted in an investigation with our local District Attorney, still open.

Immigration

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Strongly Agree

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

State and federal funds should be denied to any public or private entity, including but not limited to sanctuary cities, that are not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Employers should be required to use E-verify to confirm the eligibility of their employees to work in the United States.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigrants who can demonstrate financial ability either through work or immediate family and those who accept assimilation.

Education

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Values

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression as protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Agree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am Catholic and have not provided my priests contact name as he does not allow candidate related contacts. I have worshipped at the same church in Sugar Land Texas for over 35 years. I also recently returned from a trip to Jerusalem. I have been married for 42 years and we renewed our vows two years ago. My actions are guided by my faith.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

As a Hispanic candidate, I can say racism is not a threat to domestic security. Fear mongering is the threat. But I do feel the Republican Party needs to elect more candidates from diverse backgrounds so we can counter the left arguments.
