Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

I am in favor of construction of a wall and other necessary infrastructure on our border that gives complete control over entering and exiting the United States.

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has a livable income.

It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health insurance.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

More restrictive gun control is needed to protect public safety.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

Additional regulations are needed to prevent climate change.

Strongly Agree

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

The United States should help defend Israel from attack by its enemies.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments.

Islamic law (Sharia) should take precedence over national and state laws where there are Islamic majority communities in the U. S.

Strongly Disagree

Congress should pass a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution.

People should be allowed to use public restrooms, showers, and changing rooms based on "gender identity."

I support sanctuary cities.

It is OK for Congress to exempt itself from compliance with laws applicable to all citizens.

Strongly Disagree

I support the death penalty.

Tuition-free public education should be guaranteed through college.

The United States should protect its sovereignty from the United Nations.

The best way to maintain peace is through a strong military.

I voted in these primaries and general elections:

2010 General Election, 2012 General Election, 2014 General Election, 2016 General Election

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

If we really wanted to dramatically reduce the number of abortions in this country we would: provide easy access to low cost birth control; improve sex education in schools; and increase financial supports for families with young children. Other than that, the government does not belong in the bedroom.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

Stop blanket bombing, stop cluster bombs, stop bombing with depleted uranium and white phosphorus; use our power for ceasefires and peace talks; go after the truly dangerous without endangering civilians - we've killed 4 million so far, enough is enough. Build Peace!

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Great question - our founders understood greed and the raw use of power to bring advantage to those of great wealth over the needs of WE THE PEOPLE

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

My values center on faith, family, integrity, community and a strong, proud and united America. I have become much more comfortable with my faith over the last years; I have learned a great deal from new friends of great faith; and I truly believe I am on the path I am supposed to be on.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Somewhat Conservative

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

I have written about the overreach of the federal government, the trillion dollars of waste in the federal government, the inability of the federal government to grow jobs for all, the need for universal health care, a whole of government response to challenges of more intense weather and climate change, the need for criminal justice reform and a call for a foreign policy that balances military strength and diplomatic wisdom. I defy labels - I am conservative and progressive.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

I support universal health care which I now believe is a national security issue given the new disease patterns driven by climate change. I would start by supporting state efforts to expand healthcare and national efforts to reduce the costs of medication.

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Government plays a key role boosting the economy, especially if we look forward to a world based on clean, sustainable energy.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

It's a mess. Cut federal waste and eliminate all income taxes for individuals making less than $40,000. Simplify, eliminate cap on Social Security payments for high-income earners, and eliminate loopholes for corporations and wealthy Americans.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

Invest in infrastructure improvements, expanding healthcare and early childhood education. Green energy manufacturing and green energy development will get the biggest return on investment dollars.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

Cut a trillion dollars of government waste and safeguard Social Security.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

32 years as an organizational psychologist and strategic planner driving solutions to complicated problems.

E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you:

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

Your survey questions are too restrictive and do not allow answers that are beyond yes or no. Complicated problems need coordinated solution sets and listening to all points of view. For example, I believe human life begins at conception and I still do not want anyone interfering in decisions between mother, doctor and God.
