Strongly Agree

Governments should not discriminate against individuals, organizations or small businesses because of their belief that marriage is only a union of one man and one woman.

Strongly Agree

Governments should define marriage as between one man and one woman; no other definition of marriage should be legalized or supported with taxpayer or public funds.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

It is federal law and it is allowed as long as existing laws and regulations are followed. It's not up to a judge, the supreme court or the president to change it. Congress has the responsibility to change abortion laws. We should encourage alternatives to abortions.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of radical Islamic terrorism?

We need to stop picking sides in foreign wars that we have no business being involved in. We tend to support groups and then abandoned them, thus resulting in those groups becoming our enemies. We need to stop the spread of Islamic Terrorism in prisons. we need to control our borders and ensure people that are radicalized are not allowed to enter the country. Harsh penalties for anyone who is convicted of terrorism. If you hate this country, you are free to leave, and we will even pay for the one way ticket.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

They realized that power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely (even before it was said this way) We have co equal branches of government that give us the proper checks and balances. They so much wanted to escape living under a king that they drafted the bill of rights and constitution. They also wanted to give use freedom that was not allowed under rule of a king.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a practicing Roman Catholic. I am a strong believer in family values.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and immigration, which of the following best describes you overall?

Please provide publicly available information validating your answer to the previous question.

How would you promote healthcare coverage that is adequate, affordable and accessible for all?

We need to focus on healthcare costs not providing insurance to people. I am a strong proponent of Health Care Savings accounts (HSA) where you and your employer put pre tax money into an account that is used for your health care needs. That money is yours to keep, and it grows, tax free. Instead of paying hundreds a month to an insurance company, only to have a very high deductible, pay the money to your own account. People should be required to pay into and/or purchase a catastrophic care policy that covers your health care needs for any catastrophic care needed - ex. Cancer, heart attack, debilitating disease, major accident etc. Pay doctors directly Promote R&D and investments into treatments and drugs. Use the power of the government - their purchasing power to buy drugs and supplies at the lowest costs and pass the savings to the end users. Promote the use of alternatives to hospitals - (urgent cares) Government can subsidize those that can't afford care

What role should government play in boosting the economy?

Cutting taxes and regulations. Making sure there is a level playing field.

What changes should be made to the tax code?

Simplify the tax code. It should not take a CPA (my wife is a CPA) to file tax returns for most individuals.

What is the best way to bring down unemployment?

A strong economy! Invest in people and promote education. Let people keep more of their own money.

How would you guarantee Social Security benefits for future generations?

We need to change social security for newer workers. I am all for a 401k style government fund, where that money can grow. We must keep promises we made to those that rely on SS but it's unsustainable and need to be changed/modernized otherwise it will become insolvent.

What education or experience qualifies you to hold the office for which you seek election?

I will take my 28 years of experience at IBM helping customers transform their business via technology and apply that to government. I will bring honest leadership, real solutions and utilize common sense. I have been a problem solver my entire career and life and will bring that to Washington.

E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you: 845-708-9063

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about you?

I'm an Average Joe running for for Congress who will represent Average Americans. I am all for removing money from politics and for term limits. We need people that will do whats right for the Average American and not for big business, special interests and lobbyists.
