Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe that the decision on abortion is a personal decision that should not be judged by other men or government. I do not consider myself to be qualified to decide something that only God can judge.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian who believes that each of us will answer to God for what we do on this earth. I believe that Jesus taught to love thy neighbor as thyself and not to judge others or to seek retribution when wronged. I also believe that government has no right to establish or enforce one group's religious beliefs over another. Government is prohibited by the Constitution to be used to dictate morality. If I wish to protect my religious beliefs, then I must be willing to protect someone else's beliefs with whom I disagree. Otherwise, I may find myself in the minority one day, being told that I must practice someone else's beliefs.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

I do not have a publicly available track record, other than my views expressed on my website, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. I strongly believe that working to restore the original intent of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness is the Conservative viewpoint. I believe that the purpose of our government should be to safeguard the rights of all individuals, whether we agree with them or not.

Additional comment from candidate:

I do not believe that our government should make or enforce laws that reflect religious belief. Our founders did not trust government, which is why they wrote so many safeguards into the Constitution. I believe that we should work to reduce the overreach of government. I also believe that Christians should pray and work to change the hearts and minds of people through the Gospel of Christ, not through the laws of the land. In order to maintain true Religious Freedom, we must support the freedom of others to make choices with which we may not agree, while safeguarding our choices at the same time.
