Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self-interest into the most productive economic system there is.

There should be a strict constitutional spending limit for state and local governments that would tie the rate of spending to the rate of population growth plus the rate of inflation.

Marijuana should be legalized and regulated like tobacco and alcohol.

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

Because of the basic sin nature of man, our Founders knew that men can't always be counted on to act in the best interests of citizens. Therefore, the goal was to build a Republic with checks and balances. The men who wrote the Constitution had just fought a bloody war to escape the tyranny of a strong central government, thus the Constitution was designed to establish a central government limited in both it's power and scope.

Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

GOD, Voters, Constitution, Congress, Supreme Court

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Only if the Mother's life is in danger. Given our modern medical technology, this would be an extremely rare case.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a follower of Christ and seek God's guidance in my role as a husband, father, and community leader. I seek to conduct my life in a manner which reflects my Christian foundation. I'm incredibly blessed in life and hope to be a blessing to others in whatever role God allows me to serve.

Considering all issues (social, economic, national security, etc.), which of these best describes you?

Very Conservative

Please defend your answer to the previous question by referencing your publicly available track record.

While on Frisco City Council, I helped lead the effort to defund a taxpayer-funded arts center, a project which was not an appropriate use of hard-earned taxpayer dollars.

E-mail address and phone number for voters to reach you.

Additional comment from candidate:

Our Judeo Christian values are under assault, and it is my sincere desire to serve as a State Representative to help defend our conservative values. As one who was adopted, I am strongly pro-life and will defend the sanctity of life. Upon winning the Republican Primary, I will apply the same initiative and positive attitude I presently exhibit as a city councilman and Mayor Pro Tem, as I continue to establish new priorities and goals to further promote public policy rooted in Conservative principles.
