1. Free enterprise and the right to private property turn mankind's natural self interest into the fairest and most productive economic system there is, and are the key to national prosperity.

Strongly Agree

2. It is the government’s responsibility to be sure everyone has health care and a livable income.

Strongly Agree

3. The United States must maintain a nuclear arsenal that is safe, reliable, modern and numerically superior to those of potential adversaries.

Strongly Agree

4. Government should enforce laws designed to protect the border and to prevent illegal entry into the country.

Strongly Agree

5. The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) should be repealed by Congress.

Strongly Agree

6. Human life begins at conception and deserves legal protection at every stage until natural death.

Strongly Agree

7. Marriage is a union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

8. Efforts to bring Islamic law (shariah) to America do not pose a threat to our country and its Constitution.

Strongly Disagree

9. Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which permitted our system of limited government.

15. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers in the Constitution?

no answer

16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

1. Creating jobs and fixing the economy - We need to get the economy moving again by fostering an innovative environment where businesses can grow and start to create jobs again. I plan to root out regulations that inhibit job growth, and treat businesses as partners, not ATMs. I will work to cut wasteful spending and reduce taxes so that businesses and individuals are free to keep more of their hard-earned money. 2. Reducing the budget deficit - I will work to reduce wasteful spending and to achieve a balanced budget. If we don't seriously tackle the spending problem, future generations will not have the same opportunities for success that we all enjoyed. 3. Improving health care - As a physician, I am keenly aware of the challenges that all Americans face when it comes to health care. The president’s health care law only made things worse – the cost of insurance will go up and the quality of care will go down.

17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?

no answer

18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.

19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Roman Catholic with strong faith in God and strong family values.
