14. What in the nature of mankind caused America’s Founders to carefully define, separate, and limit powers within the Constitution?

As a union of free states, the states and the people did not trust the Federal government to preserve the freedom of the states and the people. The first ten amendments to the constitution were added to address this fear. The constitution cut a deal that enabled the slave states to join the Union. They feared a strong government would put citizens on the dole to maintain the power of one party rule.

15. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.

OBAMACARE, it is designed to destroy the medical insurance business and put medical treatment in federal government control. It cannot be fixed! It was passed without Republican support. It is a tax bill that started in the Senate, and eventually was passed in the House. MILITARY, in the past, the military was expected to fight in the East, Europe, and the Pacific, China. Obama has downsized the standing forces and the planned force to a level where that is not possible! He would not lead any war against the the Russians and probable not the Chinese! Money must be spent to rearm and replace worn weapons. Obama will veto this bill! THE DOLLAR, Since World War II the dollar has been the medium of exchange for the world economy. The dollar has been used to prop up the Euro. It has been put in dubious deals all around the world. Now, the United States is 16 to 17 trillion dollars in debt. Congress must cut spending starting with members and their staff!

No! None!

18. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in a Christian God! Western civilization values the truth. This enables science to develop and even question God. I am repelled by Islam.
