The other 97% includes breast cancer screenings, prenatal care, and essential women's health services, especially in rural areas with few providers. Cutting all funding, including Title X, over 3% of services would eliminate access to the other 97% that Arizona women and families rely on. That's not a targeted policy, it's detrimental healthcare access for entire communities.

Every woman I know who has had an abortion carries that decision for life. It's never made lightly, often for significant medical or personal reasons. I believe a woman should have control over her own body. Abortion should not occur after fetal viability, unless the health of the mother or fetus is in danger. Before that point, the decision belongs to a woman, her doctor, and whoever she chooses to include, not the government.

When asked if I'm pro-life or pro-choice, I say "yes." Life should be valued, but just as a man isn't forced to have a vasectomy after fathering unwanted pregnancies, women shouldn't be told what to do with their bodies. True pro-life means supporting mothers so fewer feel forced into abortion, not just being pro-birth. That means affordable adoption and fixing our overwhelmed foster care system.

This framing would restrict IVF, a treatment used by thousands of Arizona families to have children, as we saw in Alabama's embryo ruling, which caused clinics to halt care overnight. I support protecting access to fertility treatment and letting patients and doctors make decisions about embryos created for family-building, not imposing a legal definition that could criminalize standard medical care.

I cannot imagine the U.S. becoming a country that monitors state borders and prohibits people from accessing medical care they may need. The Comstock Act is a 19th-century relic never intended for this use, and enforcing it would criminalize mailing medication and mifepristone even where legal, effectively creating a backdoor national ban. Healthcare decisions belong to patients and doctors, not federal surveillance of state lines.

People working full-time deserve a livable wage. No one should work 40 hours a week and still live in poverty. The minimum wage should rise with the cost of living through automatic indexing, so it doesn't take years of legislative gridlock to catch

Free enterprise and private property rights are essential to a productive economy. But markets function best with guardrails, regulations that prevent monopolies, protect consumers, and stop practices that harm workers or the environment. Unregulated capitalism isn't free enterprise, it's exploitation. I support a competitive, well-regulated economy that rewards innovation while protecting Arizonans from corporate abuse.

Separation of church and state means government must remain neutral on religion, never using taxpayer dollars or public office to impose one faith's beliefs on everyone. It protects both freedom of religion and freedom from religion. In practice: no public funds for religious schools without accountability, no religious tests for office, and policy grounded in evidence and community need, not doctrine.

Public accommodations (retail, healthcare, government services) shouldn't discriminate against protected classes; refusing basic service based on who someone is, isn't a moral stance, it's discrimination. I support a government-funded healthcare option available to all who want it, alongside private insurance. This gives Arizonans real choice while guaranteeing no one goes without care due to cost. It also strengthens Medicaid/Medicare, protects rural hospitals from closure, and expands access in underserved areas like LD1, without eliminating opt ions people already rely on.

I strongly oppose this. Tracking individuals' medical conditions for government cost-assessment purposes raises serious HIPAA-related privacy concerns and opens the door to discrimination based on health status. Aggregate, de-identified public health data already lets policymakers assess healthcare needs without compromising individual privacy. Patients' medical information belongs to them and their providers, not a government registry.

The CCP's cyber intrusions, IP theft, and military buildup in the Indo-Pacific are documented threats to U.S. security and economic interests. That said, I believe the response should be smart competition, investing in American manufacturing, semiconductor independence, and cybersecurity infrastructure, not reflexive hawkishness that risks conflict or scapegoats Asian American communities here at home.

Israel is a key U.S. ally with deep security and economic ties to America. But that relationship must include honesty about Gaza. The mass civilian casualties and humanitarian catastrophe are unconscionable. I support an immediate, permanent ceasefire, full humanitarian access, release of all hostages, and accountability under international law. A responsible ally relationship means using our leverage to end the killing, not enable it.

This makes communities safer for everyone. That said, I support deporting individuals who commit serious crimes while in the U.S.. I'm not religious, but I consider myself deeply spiritual. The goal should be public safety through accountability, rehabilitation & prevention, not just punishment. That means fair sentencing, addressing root causes like addiction & mental illness, reducing recidivism through reentry support & ensuring the system works equally for everyone regardless of race, income, or zip code. A justice system that only punishes without rehabilitating creates more victims, not fewer. I studied this extensively while obtaining my master's degree in Criminal Justice.

Protecting children from online exploitation is a core government responsibility. I support strong enforcement against predators, platform accountability for child safety features, and funding for law enforcement units that investigate online exploitation. This should be done through targeted, evidence-based tools, not broad measures that compromise privacy or free expression for everyone else while failing to stop bad actors.

No religious legal code, Sharia, canon law, halakha, or others, should ever override the Constitution or U.S. law; American courts are secular and supreme. This question is sometimes used to target Muslim Americans specifically, so I'll note: private religious arbitration (common among many faiths) is already legal when both parties consent and constitutional rights aren't violated. Equal treatment under secular law applies to everyone.

I respect the Second Amendment and rural Arizonans' hunting and self-defense traditions. Any safeguards aren't about restricting responsible gun owners but closing loopholes that let dangerous individuals bypass basic safety checks that most gun owners already support. I support universal background checks, safe storage requirements to prevent child access and suicide, and keeping guns from domestic abusers and those deemed by the courts to be severely mentally ill.
