QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Agree
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I do not believe elective abortion should be permitted. I support protecting innocent human life from conception. At the same time, physicians must be able to provide medically necessary care when a mother’s life is in danger, including treatment for ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, or other life-threatening pregnancy complications. The law should clearly distinguish these medical interventions from elective abortion.
Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.
Strongly Agree
The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.
Agree
The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.
Agree
ECONOMY
What is your position on the minimum wage?
I support a reasonable minimum wage that ensures work is rewarded while protecting jobs and small businesses. Any increases should be predictable, gradual, and based on economic conditions rather than arbitrary political targets.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.
1. Reduce mission creep and eliminate duplication by consolidating overlapping programs and agencies. 2. Require measurable results from taxpayer-funded programs and eliminate those that consistently fail. 3. Increase transparency so taxpayers can easily see where their money goes. 4. Cut unnecessary administrative, consulting, and overhead costs. 5. Regularly review programs to ensure they remain necessary, effective, and affordable.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?
Separation of church and state means government should neither establish a religion nor interfere with its free exercise. It protects people of every faith, and those of no faith, from government coercion. It does not require people to abandon their beliefs when participating in public life. Government should remain neutral toward religion while protecting every American’s religious liberty.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
Government should respect the constitutional rights of individuals and businesses, including religious liberty and freedom of conscience. No one should be unnecessarily forced by government to violate a sincerely held religious or moral belief. These protections should be applied consistently while respecting the legal rights of others.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C
The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.
Disagree
Government can assess healthcare costs using anonymous and aggregated data without maintaining a database of individuals and their medical conditions. Americans should not have to surrender their medical privacy simply so government can study the economic costs of treatment. Personal health information deserves strong privacy protections.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Did not answer
IMMIGRATION
I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.
Disagree
I do not support sanctuary-city policies that obstruct lawful federal immigration enforcement or prevent appropriate cooperation between local and federal authorities. Immigration policy is a federal responsibility, and communities should not create policies that undermine enforcement of federal law, particularly when dealing with individuals who pose a threat to public safety.
EDUCATION
I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.
Agree
Education decisions should be made as close to students, parents, and classrooms as possible. I support returning greater authority to states and local communities and reducing unnecessary federal bureaucracy and mandates. Any restructuring of the Department of Education should responsibly preserve essential funding and protections for students while giving states greater flexibility over how education dollars are used.
Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.
Agree
Foreign governments should not be able to use their money to influence American schools, universities, research, or curriculum. American education should serve American students and remain free from foreign government interference. Legitimate international academic and research partnerships can continue, but they should be transparent and subject to strong safeguards against foreign influence.
VALUES
Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.
Agree
Parents have the primary responsibility and fundamental right to direct the upbringing, education, and healthcare of their children. Government should respect and protect that role, ensure parents have access to information needed to make informed decisions, and intervene only when necessary to protect a child from abuse, neglect, or serious harm.
Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.
Neutral
I believe children experiencing distress about their sex deserve compassion, support, and appropriate mental-health care. I oppose irreversible medical or surgical interventions intended to transition minors before they are capable of making fully informed adult decisions. However, I would be cautious about automatically defining every social action or disagreement over a child’s identity as child abuse.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Agree
I believe marriage is a sacred institution established by God as the union of one man and one woman. Government did not create marriage and should not redefine its fundamental nature. At the same time, every person possesses inherent dignity and should be treated with respect under the law, including those who do not share my religious beliefs.
I support the expansion of gambling in my state.
Disagree
I do not believe Ohio should increasingly rely on expanded gambling as a source of economic development or government revenue. Gambling is already widely available, and further expansion can carry significant social costs for families and communities. Any existing gambling should be responsibly regulated, with strong protections against addiction, exploitation, and access by minors.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Catholic and believe my faith should be reflected in how I live and serve others. I believe every person is created in the image and likeness of God and possesses inherent dignity from conception to natural death. My faith calls me to defend life, strengthen families, care for the poor and vulnerable, seek justice, practice compassion, and be a responsible steward of what God has entrusted to us. I believe public service is a responsibility to serve our neighbors with humility, integrity, and respect. I will never expect every constituent to share my faith, but I will never hide the values and principles that guide me.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Agree
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Disagree
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Agree
