The abortion pill should be banned outright. It is not medicine, it is poison sold for consumption at tremendous risk to women. It should not be permitted to be manufactured, let alone sold, anywhere in the United States, and certainly not in Texas.

The minimum wage should be abolished. Let the market determine wages as individuals negotiate with employers of their own free will. However, if its the will of the people to have it, then it should be set at the Federal level and never exceed $5.00.

Free enterprise, the rights of association, private property, and honest markets are essential to liberty, not merely a productive economic system.

The first priority is to end the property tax here in Texas. It can be replaced by setting the sales and use tax to all transactions without exclusions, resulting in annual savings for property owners and renters alike. The second step is to reduce the acceptance of Federal Funds of any sort whatsoever by the state and local governments. The third step is ending programs that distribute money instead of purchasing goods or services for the state government, and reducing the bureaucracy.

The separation of church and state was an analogy used to reassure smaller religious sects in the US during the ratification process for the constitution that the federal government would not have the power to force citizens to worship in specific ways. You cannot separate a person from their religion, secularism is not truly possible. This means that no where in government should it be permitted to prohibit a person from expressing or learning about their religion, including government schools.

The rights of association prohibit the government from passing law that forces any citizen to associate with individuals that they do not desire to associate with, regardless of how wicked their reason for it may be. Because of this reality, it would be wicked to force individuals or businesses to produce a product or provide a service that in so doing, would force them to violate their moral convictions derived from their faith.

Taxpayer funded healthcare at the state and federal levels should be abolished entirely, including medicaid and medicare. Furthermore, no citizen should ever be required by law to have insurance of any form, let alone "health" insurance. However, it is up to the citizens of local cities to determine if they desire to have programs like these at the local level alone. I would suggest no, but believe that this and other topics should be at a city level, not state or federal.

I do not necessarily agree with the way this position statement is written. I do believe that we should have government entities whose responsibility it is to evaluate the health and wellbeing of our citizens. Creating incentives to garner voluntary support for collecting data on healthcare falls into this category of government activity that produces a benefit to the public. I would be in support of such measures on the basis of voluntary involvement and public availability of the data.

The CCP is a threat only to the degree that we permit them to freely operate. Countering their influence and reach around the world must be a priority of the federal government, and state and local governments should do what they can to support the effort to fight back against the CCP's activities.

The relationship we have with Israel is important, as they provide us with intelligence we need to counter our common enemies in the region, provide for us a foothold in the region to take action against our enemies, and have produced technologies that can benefit our military and people. They have the right to defend themselves, but they do not have a right to taxpayer dollars. We should continue to support them as we do other allies, and retain open trade with them, including military trade.

No city gets to declare itself a place where Federal law cannot be enforced. Period. Such governments should receive warnings from the federal government, and if compliance is not achieved, then the elected officials in power should be arrested for abusing their power to the detriment of their citizens, and punished with an inability to run for any office in the country, and face the punishment already set by law for such seditious activity after due process.

Correct. I support removing government power and control from education entirely at all levels. However, if it is the will of the people to retain government schools, they must simply be an option, and not a mandatory or compulsory thing. It seems reasonable to me to conclude that rural areas may require government assistance to establish a school for a period of time, but not long term. School choice and non-government control of education is vital.

Foreign governments absolutely should not be permitted to have any influence over any entity in the United States. They should not be allowed to have ownership of any entities and should not be permitted to have influence through financial compensation over anyone in the US, especially if the foreign government is considered hostile to the US.

Parents have total jurisdiction over their children. This authority is a fundamental right because it is the duty and responsibility of parents to care for their own children. The government should not be permitted to violate this right by any means whatsoever, outside of protecting children from parents who abuse this right, causing actual harm to their children. This means that in matters of health and education, the parent has ultimate authority.

Correct. Attempting to persuade a minor to believe that they are something they are not, and then physically destroying parts of their body to make them appear as something they are not, are absolutely the worst form of abuse imaginable outside of rape and torture. The mental and emotional abuse of a child that would result in their perception of themselves as something they simply are not should be punishable as with other forms of child abuse, if not more significant punishment.

Marriage has always been between a man and a woman, forming a spiritually linked familial bond between husband and wife, and a legal relationship that protects family and rights. Attempting to change that definition to include homosexual behavior is absolutely unnecessary. There is no reason whatsoever to include homosexual relationships under the terms of marriage. If they want to have some sort of legal bind to one another, there are legal processes that already exist for that. Not marriage.

I am a Biblical Christian, and hold to an American worldview. I view America as holding a unique position in the world as something formed out of divine intervention and providence as our founders did. I hold to a warrior ethos as a Marine, and treasure my family as the most important thing in my life just under the sacrifice of Jesus and God Himself. I believe in the supremacy of the local government over the state, and the state over the federal, and find sound business and free markets as the ideal means of living out the commands of God, to serve our fellow man, and show appreciation when served, generating love out of our relationships with one another promoting truth, justice, and righteousness in the land.

It is absurd that we would permit anyone to vote if they cannot first demonstrate they are a citizen of the jurisdiction under which they are voting. Requirement for proof of citizenship through appropriate voter ID's that are obtained through proof of citizenship alone must be made into law.

Climate changes, and the degree to which human activity has impacted what already naturally occurs remains uncertain. Humanity simply has not been collecting measurements long enough to know one way or the other. While we must be good stewards of the planet in order to promote human flourishing, we cannot sacrifice human flourishing and say we are being good stewards.

At present, nuclear technologies will be the most reliable going into the future. We must pursue all avenues of energy production, no doubt, but if I had to pick one that I foresee taking us into the future, it would be Nuclear power.

The justice system's goal should be the setting right of wrongs committed against citizens. The punishment for crimes committed must be equitable with the damage done, and the law impartial in its force and effect. No one is above the law, therefore there must be just punishment without exception in every case, fully lived out, and executed with due process. The justice system is not for reforming people, that is the duty of civility. It is merely to punish those who've done wrong.
