QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

My common-sense answer is two-fold. Title X is a federal family planning program that funds services like contraception, STI screening, and cancer screenings. As a person who has lost several family members and friends to cancer, I support cancer screenings. I also believe taxpayer funds should not support organizations that provide abortions.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

This is another common-sense issue (in my opinion). I believe abortions are generally considered acceptable in various circumstances. Key scenarios such as medical necessity for the health / risk of life to the mother; A Fetal Anomalies where the fetus is diagnosed with a condition will cause suffering or immediate death after birth.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Strongly Agree

This is a factual statement...no real need to have a deep discussion. A life is a life.

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Strongly Agree

Key word used here is "human". The fact is that human embryos created through artificial methods (such as IVF) ought to be protected from destruction.

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Neutral

This is a question that can be debated several ways over. From what I know, even in the strictest abortion states, where abortion is banned with very limited exceptions, there are circumstances in which terminating a pregnancy would not be illegal, such as where abortion is necessary to save a pregnant person’s life or protect their health. As well, mifepristone and misoprostol have lawful uses outside of abortion, such as in the management of miscarriage.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

As a true Republican since 1993, to me it's ensuring government neutrality towards religion and preventing the state from establishing a religion.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Neutral

Depends on the person, their beliefs, and the services desired....and if the individuals or business is trying to the Constitution of the United States to hide other motives.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

The basic information that I am aware of (mostly FBI / based) is that counterintelligence and economic espionage efforts deriving from the government of China and the Chinese Communist Party are a grave threat to the economic well-being and democratic values of the United States.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

As a military veteran of over 26 years of service and multiple deployments, the answer is yes! It is the cornerstone of U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East. Based on what I know and have seen, the strategic, military, and economic partnership, supports U.S. national security, counterterrorism efforts, and helps regional stability.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. I prioritize Medicare and Medicaid because they provide essential health coverage for the elderly, disabled, low-income individuals (people who also have been laid off work...it can happen to anyone), and our veterans who do not have access to veteran facilities (multiple issues in rural Alabama).

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Strongly Disagree

Hospitals and insurance companies are the keepers of these databases....treating a patient (human being) should NEVER be a burden.

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

I believe in a wage high enough to maintain a normal standard of living.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

This is another common-sense part of my campaign. These systems (free enterprise) encourage competition, which often leads to lower prices and better products.

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

1) Replace Board of Pardons & Parole (they aren't paroling anyone) with a monthly board consisting of 3-4 prison wardens. 2) Work with state community college's workforce dev programs to get non-violent offenders to second chance employment actions (they will pay taxes). 3) Streamline bureaucracy, cut red tape to improve efficiency, eliminate paid internships, cut unnecessary subscriptions, use internal staff for training, audit state agency expenditures and review programs for inefficiency.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Strongly Disagree

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Neutral

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Strongly Agree

Why would we allow this!!??

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

Justice!

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Agree

This is ultimately the responsibility of the parents.

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Strongly Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Proper age and psychological standard. This is also common-sense

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Common-sense on all.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

Never have...never will.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

Negative

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Strongly Agree

The government will never be able to tell me how the raise and education my child...per the Bible and the Constitution!

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Strongly Agree

Serious mental destruction of the child.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

I am a Christian and I have been in the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ since 2008. My Bible sees marriage as a sacred, lifelong covenant ordained by God between one man and one woman, designed to create a "one flesh" union. It emphasizes faithfulness, mutual love, and respect, often mirroring the relationship between Christ and the Church. According to Genesis 2:24: "...a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh". Common-Sense.

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Strongly Agree

It is currently against the law.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

According to my Bible (NKJV), "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness." (2 Timothy 3:16)

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Agree

For alcohol ID is shown. For tobacco ID is shown. To purchase a weapon ID is shown. For most movies or purchases ID is shown. Why would you not use a proper government ID to vote.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Agree

From who...to who?

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

It's called "Women's" sports! No need to further explain.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Neutral

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Whatever God allows.
